External Examinations
Student work at PSA, in accordance with our quality assurance policy, is assessed by external examination. These exams occur over two full days at the end of the academic year, before the End of Year Show.
PSA’s External Examiners are drawn from across the profession, representing practice, academia, and research.
The external examination panel in 2023 was composed of James Smith, a UK-registered architect practicing in Zurich, Paula Gresham, a studio tutor at ENSA Paris-Belleville and US and France registered architect, Dr Ariela Katz, a researcher in the history of architecture and associate professor at ENSA Paris-Malaquais, and Rasha Sukkarieh a practicing architect and an researcher in the field of advanced design and digital fabrication.
Successful completion of the External Exams concludes the two-year period of study at PSA, and leads to the award of the PSA Diploma in Architecture.
